This is the use of urine with the intention of improving the wellbeing. Human or animal urine is applied to the skin or gums, or it is swallowed as a drink (urophagia) in order to gain some health benefits
Caution
Many reputable health organisations advise against the drinking of urine
If ingested, it may cause:
- Diarrhoea
- Fatigue
- Fever
It contains waste products that may put strain on your kidneys
It may contain toxins especially when the donor had been on specific medications

Dinking of urine from self, other or animal (e.g. camel)

- As it travels through the uretha, picking up the bacteria within

Individuals perishing from dehydration may have to consider urine as a source of hydration
