Use of Turmeric in medicinal preparations

  • It is sometimes contaminated illegally with cheaper and poisonous products

  • Contains small amounts of curcumin, which seems to have the ability to kill some cancer cells


        -    However, large amounts are needed to ingest to achieve this


        -    Such amounts seem to be harmful to both the liver and the gut
