Pregnancy: Use with caution

This is the ingestion of multivitamin supplements in order to boost health and well-being. It does not replace a good diet but it can supply missing elements form ingested food

Caution


Indiscriminate use of multivitamins:


  • May have serious health consequences 


  • Is almost certainly money spent unnecessarily, therefore a waste


Therapy for:
  • Folic Acid during pregnancy 


  • Vitamins A, C and D for children aged 6months to 5 years 


  • Vitamin D supplements through the winter months


  • Vitamin D supplements for dark skinned individuals


  • Vitamin D may improve testosterone levels


  • Vitamin E is good for:


        -    Angina


        -    Diabetes


        -    Menopause


        -    Premenstrual syndrome


        -    Prostate issues


        -    Shingles 


        -    Varicose veins



Comments
  • Vitamin pills will not usually make you healthier; a good diet is preferable


  • Indiscriminate use of multivitamins does not have any benefit for your general well-being
