This is the application of low-powered lasers to the surface of the body to stimulate the cells into improved function and optimal wellbeing

Caution
  • It is generally safe to use


  • It does not treat diseases; discuss symptoms with your healthcare giver

  • Treatment of inflammation


  • Restoring function to a joint, tissue or muscle


  • Dental problems e.g. inflammed tissues in the mouth



Comments
  • High-powered beams cut easily through human flesh, hence the power of the laser on tissue is recognised 


  • Harnessing the power before the destructive threshold is the basis of low-level laser therapy


  • LLLT can be administered to acupuncture points when it is referred to as Laser Acupuncture
