Conditions and practices that help to maintain health and prevent the spread of diseases. These are simple human acts that keep the body clean, healthy and desirable

Caution
  • Excessive Hygiene can damage body tissues 


  • Leave your ear canals alone:


        -    Do not dig in trying to remove wax 


        -    It causes damage to the delicate structures in the ear 


        -    It may increase the risk of infection 


        -    Discuss with your Doctor if you have concerns about your ear wax


Therapy for:


Personal 


  • Hand-washing promotes good health. Just do it


  • Groom yourself, or keep the un-groomed self vigorously tidy


  • Trim your fingernails. They harbour germs and they damage your body when you scratch with them


  • Use deodorants and perfumes. Even a cheap perfume usually smells better than a body odour 



Food 


  • Keep it covered. Keep it well cooked


  • Separate raw and cooked food



Domestic 


  • Tidy up after yourself 


  • Clean visible dirt on home surfaces


Comments
  • Body odour is not noticeable by the person who has it. Wear deodorants as a routine 


  • Being un-groomed can be desirable, but it should be kept as clean as possible


  • Use sprays to freshen the odour
