These are beverages made from the infusion of herb, spices and other plant products in hot water. They are different from the standard tea beverage and they are not made from the regular tea leaves. They are consumed to achieve warmth, relaxation and wellbeing promotion

Caution
  • Most herbal tea preparations are safe


  • Some herbs are toxic and harmful to the body


  • Side effects may include:


        -    Liver damage (e.g. with comfey)


        -    Nausea


        -    Dizziness


        -    Teeth erosion


  • Choose your source carefully; some tea preparations may be contaminated with harmful plant products
