Cranberry Juice

This is the juice extract of the cranberry fruit. The fruits themselves are rarely eaten raw due to their sharp and sour taste. It is believed to be high in nutrients, and therefore of immense benefit to the wellbeing of the individual

Caution
  • It may adversely interact with blood thinning drugs like Warfarin


  • Large amount of intake can cause nausea and an increase in blood sugar level

Comments
  • Cranberry can prevent the growth of a number of bacteria. It is not known to which extent it can do this in the human body


  • Scientific research has not demonstrated cranberry efficacy for the prevention or treatment of UTIs
