Food supplement derived from the liver of the Atlantic Cod fish. It contains Omega-3 fatty acid, Vitamin A and Vitamin D. These are necessary for good body functions, hence, cod liver oil is believed to promote general wellbeing

Caution
  • Avoid in pregnancy; Vitamin A intake can be damaging to the growing baby


  • Used in excess, it may cause:


        -    Vitamin A to accumulate in the liver to harmful levels


        -    Weight loss


        -    Irregular heart rhythm


        -    Damage to arteries from high levels of calcium


        -    Kidney stones
